Obituary for James R. Snyder

James R. Snyder age 88 from Blissfield, MI, passed away on March 5, 2019 at Westview Healthy Living in Wooster Ohio after a short illness. He was born on July 20, 1930 to Merland and Marian Snyder in Adrian. Jim served our country in the US Navy Reserves during the Korean War. He graduated from Blissfield High School in 1949 where he played basketball. He was primarily employed in sales.   He was actively involved in Civitan for over 32 years which fulfilled his passion to care for others with disabilities. He enjoyed auto racing, following the Detroit Tigers and the Mud Hens and enjoyed visits from his family and grandchildren.  

Jim is survived by his daughters, Brenda Kohli and Julie (Bruce) Sliney, all of Mansfield, Ohio, and his son Brian (Robin) Snyder of St. Charles, Missouri. His grandchildren, Crystal McClintock, Candace Kohli, Kierstyn (Jim) Maxwell, Kyle (Melissa) Sliney, Kent, Katelynn, and Kassie Sliney, Jared, Joe and Jordan Snyder and 7 great-grandchildren, a niece , 3 nephews & their children. Also, longtime friend Leni Green of Blissfield.  

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Virginia Webb.
