Obituary for Ronald Lee Thompson

Ronald L. Thompson, 69, of Wooster passed away Fri. Nov, 9, 2018 at LifeCare Hospice, Wooster.

Ronald was born Sept 30, 1949 in Lodi to Richard E. an Mildred Jean (Hall) Thompson.  He was 1968 graduate of Wayndale High School and completed two years of college.  Ronald retired from Rubbermaid when it closed and then worked for Wal Mart for a number of years. He was married to Kathleen Molyneaux and she survives.  

Ronald was a former member of the Orrville Christian Church where he served as a deacon and most recently attended the New Pointe Wooster Church.  He was a huge fan of the Cleveland Sports teams and also the Ohio State Buckeye's.  Because of his love for Ohio State the family asks those who attend calling hours and the funeral please dress in your scarlet and gray.  He also loved to watch his grandchildren in their sporting events.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his children: Angie (Brian) Zimmerly of Shreve, Scott Thompson of Big Prairie, and Steve (Jodie)  Thompson of Shreve.  Grandchildren; Marissa, Clayton, Brock and Emry.  Brothers and sisters surviving are; Tom (Val) Thompson, Susan (Dave) Hapner, John (Darlene) Thompson, Judy (Mike) Rockwell, Tim (Kathy) Thompson, Dick (Diane) Thompson, Dave (Liz) Thompson and Matt (Angel) Thompson.  a sister in law Sue Thompson.  He was preceded in death by his parents , a brother Joe and a nephew Aaron.

Calling hours will be Tue. Nov. 13 from 5-7 P.M. at Schlabach Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be Wed. Nov. 14 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Kirtlan officiating.  Burial will follow in Pioneer Cemetery.   The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to  LifeCare Hospice, The Salvation Army or People to People Ministries.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at
